After the first holiday of/with Milady we decided to replace the standard engine by a new engine from a 200Tdi Discovery.
The first step was getting the engine at Jansen LaRo in Udenhout and set up (along with the laptop at http: //www.glencoyne.co.uk/200di2.htm, where the conversion is well described).
My first act was to disconnect the intake and exhaust manifolds, including the turbo (which I remove because the power of the engine appears to be too large for the standard gearbox and the rest of the powertrain).

Below a picture of the two engines together, they look very much alike in general, that makes the installation doable for an amateur like me.

After tinkering a few days, see http://forum.lrch.nl/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6977, the new engine could be installed.
