A new (holiday) home in Chaam
Mid-May 2024 we bought a plot with a holiday bungalow in Chaam, Noord Brabant. The current igloo is old and no longer up to date in terms of sustainability. That is why Gert Jan designed a new house.
From mid-May to the end of September 2024, Gert Jan and Rindert, our youngest son, built the back house. Together they dug the foundation, poured the concrete, prefabricated the building parts and assembled the roof and walls.
The logistical operation of transport from workshop to construction site went smoothly thanks to Rindert, Will, Wessel, Dieu, Bart, Jack and Gert Jan.
With the help of friends and family, they made everything wind and waterproof so we can now hit the road again.
