On the Road
We are on our way in the sixth year of our world trip. For five years we have been traveling full-time, first on our way to Morocco, later in Europe up to the North Cape and now we are in the Middle East.

Highest temperature: 40 °C (when we drove from Falaj al Muallah to Ras al-Khaimah yesterday – October 4, 2024);
Lowest temperature: -26 °C (at the North Cape in Norway on December 12, 2021)
Lowest point below sea level: Sea of Galilee, also known as the Sea of Tiberias or the Sea of Kinneret; -210 meters below sea level;
Number of countries we visited overland: 56 (including 12 countries in Africa in 2016/17);
Number of flat tires: 1 (on the driveway at Gerben in Etten-Leur);
Major repairs: 1x replacement engine, 1x starter motor, 2x turbo, 1x welding, 2x leaking fuel hose, 5x replaced U-joints…;
Liters of diesel: about 15,000;
Garage visits: about 30-40, of which 15 maintenance services;
Number of shipments: 5 (1x to Morocco and back, 1x to Iceland and back, 1x to the Middle East) +2 (in 2016 Antwerp-Walvis Bay and in 2017 Port-Elisabeth – Zeebrugge);
Hotel and B&B nights: approx. 50;
We have also been invited to people’s homes countless times, for coffee, for food or to stay together to share travel stories or Land Rover experiences.
The Future (plans)
Milady Landy will not be returning to the Netherlands in the coming years. We are currently on our way in Asia, in the coming months we will travel through the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula: the Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia. Early next year (01-2025) we will decide how we will continue our journey. The current situation in the north of the Middle East is currently too uncertain to be able to make firm plans.

Now, in the current situation, we are thinking of shipping Milady from Emirates or Oman to India.
