Interior

The interior of a Land Rover must of course be as basic as possible, but because we have a plan to go overlanding there must be sufficient space.

In 2015 Morocco Marc and Saskia will ride with us in the Land Rover, so first of all we must first ensure enough (safe) seats.

The front seats I have therefore moved to the rear (these were already equipped with a new seat cover, the old leatherette upholstery was terribly worn …)

Up front I have new chairs, which needed some adjustment of seat rails and stuff, but ultimately they are mounted safe and sound on the seat box where I still have to make room for a dual battery set (in the picture still with the old seat).

The (second hand) Optima battery, I took out again, it turned out not to be good, unfortunately.
Back of the car I built cabinets to store our clothes, cooking and other camping gear.

On the left are two cupboards, the bottom with sliding doors and the top with folding doors.

On the right under the cabinet has a top cover where the Engel refrigerator can be placed

In this picture is the (filtered) water tap and see the pullout hose for unfiltered water.
The left top cupboard can also be placed in the aisle …

so with boards we create a flat floor so we could sleep in the car if necessary

By the way, the water supply is connected with in-line pump to a 100liter water bag I have built in.

(photos will follow)

On the inside of the back door I made a folding table
