We leave Coevorden on time, slept well and recovered as much as possible from our aching muscles. Today it is about small roads along farms and the Vecht. The weather is cool, but dry.

We walk along the edge of Coevorden through a beautiful little nature reserve with water birds and grazing sheep.

There is also the gate of Drenthe.

We walk along various canals and the Overijsselse Vecht towards Gramsbergen.

The wind is chilly and the sky remains gray.

Gramsbergen is about halfway along today’s path.

A little further on is the station and in 10 minutes there is a train to Hardenberg. Sonja really has problems with her feet and decides to take the train for the last 9 km. A wise decision.
Gert Jan continues on his own and at his own pace.

Here, too, the benches are seductive, or just endearing …

A beautiful piece of forest breaks the journey through the fields.

In the last part even the sun comes through the clouds for a while.

And I am glad that Hardenberg is approaching.

Just do some shopping for dinner and then we see each other again in the b&b Tussen Vecht en Veer. Wonderfully luxurious, sitting room and kitchen and a separate bedroom with sauna and bathroom.
