We visited the residence (the house) of Edvard Grieg. This house is located just outside Bergen, Norway, in Trollhaugen.
Here Grieg composed many of his masterful pieces of music, including the Peer Gynt, Suite №1, Opus 46. We recorded this video with the first part of this suite in our minds, the Morning Mood [in the desert] (German: Morgenstimmung, Norwegian: Morgenstemning i ørkenen).
Grieg wrote the music for the play Peer Gynt by the Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen.
The play is staged when the main character Peer Gynt, cast on the deserted coast of Morocco, wakes up to see the sun rise. The composition of a Norwegian composer is, the European then associate with the beach or the desert [ørkenen=desert in Norwegian].
