After arriving in Cochin, India and receiving our car from the port, we set off on our Indian adventure.
One of the most exceptional impressions of our first week is our 2-day hike in the Periyar Tiger Reserve.
Thomas will be our ranger and guide for the next two days. We immediately set off into the forest and after a few moments we see our first wild animal, a large male deer. What a beautiful creature.
We continue to follow the treks of the wild animal. Then, in a clearing, close to a forest stream, Sonja sees a big brown shadow. Is it an animal? Yes, it is an elephant, Thomas confirms. We are very excited, a real wild elephant!
After about 25 km of walking in these two days we are happy to reach our Milady Landy again. This is one of those experiences we will never forget.
