I use the front wings regularly to climb the car, especially while travelling. That is why I made these wing protectors.
First I cut a cardboard template to examples I found on the Internet.

I still had a piece of aluminum checker plate, which I had previously used for the finish of the rear tub. From that I cut two plates with the jigsaw, using a narrow blade for aluminum and lots of WD40 as cutting fluid, cutting it great.

I drilled holes with a 5mm drill and then removed the burrs with a 8mm drill, the plate now can be rivetted.
The front should of course neatly follow the line of the wing, for lack of a press, I do it in the vice.

Now, the plate can be fixed to the wing, but not after I have the lower end provided with a piece of rubber underfloor in order to prevent possible rattling.

Lay neatly in place on the wing and then secure with 4.8mm rivets.

Well done, I think.
