Today we visit one of the royal cities, Fez.

The morning we spend with to do some maintenance to the car and laundry. We look for the nearest Carrefour, this appears to be well sorted and we go shopping for diner, macaroni. The drink turns out to be sold in the “cave d’alcohol,” let alone, too bad, it’s closed until Tuesday.
Later we go swimming in the busy but beautiful swimming pool of the campsite (and also open to the public), many families with small children and boys and young men in the bath. Mothers with headscarves and fully clothed beside or in the bath.
At three o’clock we get picked up by the guide, Wafi, who addressed us last night in the restaurant, with the van of the site and a group of French, boyfriend and girlfriend and another friend, we leave for a great tour.

Among other things we see the Royal Palace (from the outside), the Jewish Quarter and a panoramic view of the city near a public cemetery.

We drive to a workshop where pottery is made with inlaid mosaic and take a long walk through the medina where we see the tanneries, unfortunately, many shops are closed because of the Eid.

At the beginning of the evening we conclude the visit with an explanation of the Berber-weaving techniques and Sonja and Marc get themselves wrapped up.

In the evening we have dinner at the campsite in the restaurant.
